For anyone that is into old dirt bikes, check with your dealer and see if they are going to the dealer expo, at Indy on Feb. 16th.

Malcolm Smith and about 8-10 other celebrity off-road racers will be helping the Blue Ribbon Coalition (BRC) raise funds at Indy this year in order to keep precious public lands open for riding. Malcolm Smith (himself) is donating his 1970's Husqvarna 450 DesertMaster motorcycle to the auction? It is being shipped to Indy for a liive auction held at the Blue Ribbon Coalition's Breakfast of Champions and Auction, Sunday morning 8:00 am, February 17th in the Westin Hotel's Capital rooms.

Note, you must be a dealer or be involved with a dealer to be at this show.

Mod. does this thread go in the "European" or vintage thread area? For some reason it ended up in the thumper thread.

Way cool, In the movie 'On any Sunday' Smith and Steve McQueen both ride Husky's. Whoever gets this bike is going to be very lucky. Maybe Steve mcQueen even rode this bike, who knows !!! :)

Well, some lucky person or collector is sitting at home looking at this bike sitting in his living room. Anyone know what the bike went for at the auction? Just wondering out loud.
