Hey Brandon, I live south and east of Pasadena (N of 10 & W of 605). Send me a PM and I'll let you know of some close (relatively) places. The closest is Rincon our of Azusa canyon. 50 mile round trip fireroad loop in the SG mountains. You need a free permit though. Next closest in Baldy Mesa / Phelan. It's at the 138 & 15 fryways. Also there's Silverwood/Arrowhead in the same area. After that it's 1.5 hours from home to El Mirage, Gorman or Stoddard. El Mirage and Stoddard are desert riding, Gorman is in the mountains and has a lot of VERY CROWDED (on weekends) trails and some killer back country singletrack that's not so crowded. There's lots of places to ride if you want to go 2 hours out. PM me for further info. Bill
