I hope this event will be as fun as the last 2 years, it is defenitly worth the drive south to go to it.

GREAT!! is how the trails usually are. 10-12 miles per lap with grass track and the front and end of the lap. Lots of variety, some two track some tight stuff, a few hills. Should be awesome. I'll see you guys there.

Kevin, we need to find each other and say hi before the race. What class are you in? I'm in 200B.

I'll be there for sure; it's our last race for SERA. I rode there all day last Sunday and the trails are in better shape than I've seen them in awhile.

Timr, I'm riding in open B, we should be pretty close to one another on the start, I'll try and find you. I will be on a 01 520 EXC with black wheels, see you there.

Kevin,
I was considering goin south for this also, but it would be my first HS. Is it to tough for a first timer ? Ive been crossing 14 " logs so far, but more than that might be to hard for me. Wad-ya think?

I don't remember there being to many logs, if it doesn't rain to much it will be a fairly fast corse, lots of hills, trees, and nice sandy dirt. As far as a 1st harescramble, it probably wouldn't be too bad, except for the drive down there.

Walt,

I wouldn't worry about log crossings, there may be some small ones but nothing major (or there is usually a path around). There may be one or two mud wallows and other assorted obstacles. It's usually a fun course.

I'll be there playing pit crew and watching. I'll probably have my trials bike with me so give me a yell if you see me.

the lap is going to be between 12-13 miles this year. the course was laid out with rain in mind so no real bad spots should occur unless we get several inches of rain. **** last saturday when i was finishing laying out the course we got 2 inches of rain and by sunday the course was ready to race

:p rain all day fri. with light showers sat. and partly cloudy sun. looks right now like a lot of the heavy rain will go north of us. even if it didn't rain, dust would not be a factor, as there is more mud than dust.

I've been to Maplesville a few times and if it doesn't rain Sunday it should be perfect! I love this race, it is usually fast and fun. The Maplesville crew does a great job!

Where are we starting this year. I know last year it was a pretty long open start across the field. Year before last (year of frog choking, cats and dogs down pour) we started with a short start and part of the MX track. Can't wait for Sunday...Love Maplesville!!!

The Maplesville event is planned to start on the grass track out front, however, it it rains very much, most of this will be taken out.:p
