I've been to Moorelands and had a great time out there. Haven't made it up to Rose City yet though.
Are there any motorcross tracks around Detroit? I know of a couple on the west side of the state (Battle Creek and Grand Rapids) but I'm wondering if there are any that are closer to Detroit.
Looks like I will be moving to Toledo and have been looking for the samething, namely harescrambles, Enduros, or even trail riding, but so far nothing even close. I am have to make road trips to southern ohio to ride, or even to the Indian River area, but both are 4 hours away.
Maybe we need to get with a dealership and start our own pay to ride area.
I agree with you Dave! I know of a lot of guys who live in the S. MI/ N. OH area that ride, so I'm sure it would be a good investment.
I know that the Battle Creek MX track has a harescramble the 3rd Sunday of every month during the summer. Baja may have one as well. Redbudmx.com has a lot of links to the tracks around MI.
I found a really nice track (I don't recall the name of it) about 10-15 miles west of 75 near the Michigan/Ohio border (in Ohio) but they were closed last summer because they couldn't get their insurance renewed. Hopefully they will be open to the public this summer.
Also, I heard rumors of a track opening around the Monroe, MI area. If anyone knows anything about it I would definatley like to hear about it.
