Does the PS have any decent MX games???Im thinking about geting the PS2 for my son and might have to get me a game or 2.;)

TT-I played an MX game last week on PS1 that blew the N64 McGrath game out of the water. A buddy here at work says there are several MX games for the PS2 and they all kick butt. I saw the commercial for "Metal Gear" last night on TV. That will be a "must have".

Anyone have any recomendations for MX, Fighting, Sports games?
Are there any good air combat games for PS2?

Yarbo, when I get mine and can play it, after Christmas, you are welcome to come over to my place and check out Halo. We're actually getting our XBOX today, Gamestop is getting a shipment at 1 (my mom is the greatest :) ), but technically it's a Christmas present so we won't be able to open it and play with it yet. Halo, NFL Fever 02, and another game not yet decided on will all be in my possesion very soon, I'm so excited. Anybody know any good kids games for XBOX? My brother needs something too.

I have PS1 .. old and tired but some of the games still kick azz.. Does anyone know if the PS2 has a version of Tekken? Ive seen a game advertised on TV where the women fighters 'kick high' but I want a tried and true game.. I have Tekken I, II, and III and have mastered them all.. been waiting on the next level.

I only have a PSOne, but the best MX game I've played on it is definitely Supercross Circuit. I also have McGrath's '98 Supercross game and both of Rickey's Championship Motocross games, but they can't hold a torch to Circuit. I think what makes this game the best in my eyes is the physics. When you lean into a turn, the bike and rider lean the right way and the bike handles pretty close to what you'd expect. I'm sure there will be something better out there soon, but this game is definitely my favorite right now.

Anyone play some Halo online? It's pretty cool, I must say. If you want to play sometime, let me know. Capture the Flag on Blood Gulch is my favorite!

I saw the X-box yesterday and fiddled w/ it. Not sure what game it was but the controller felt great - much better for me than the PS controller. I had a PS1 which was fun and current have dreamcast which is ok too, but I rarely use it - too monotonous. Now, I really only like to play online "live strategy" games. I'm mostly doing Age of Empires/AOK. Also Motocross MadnessII. The challenge &competition is what is fun - plus that big 19in Trinitron flatscreen on top of the P4 w/ GEForce3 graphics card makes for good gaming. :p

Will the x-box or PS2 hold a candle to a high-end workstation?

OK, saw XBOX for rent at Blockbuster & had to check out this "HALO" game. ($20 for 5 days - good deal if your undecided). Wow...in a word, awesome.:eek: The play & feel is amazing but the best thing is probably the AI & the multiplayer capabilities. I'm definitely going for the XBOX. :p

Titles, shmitles ... build it and they will come...same with the games. This is an awesome platform.

Hey Jack,

Get some buddies together sometime, and we can do some 4 on 4 capture the flag, or a lil' 8 on 8 if you know someone else w/ an Xbox (provided you have a BB connection). The more you play the game, the more you will like it-- especially multiplayer! Have fun!

Man you aren't kidding!! I already have all of the GT's except for the brand new one not quite out yet, but based on your post, I just bought Grand Theft Auto III last night This thing ROCKS!! 'Was up til 05:00 AM playing it.

XBOX vs. PS2

I've HEARD don't know for sure that the XBOX graphics will only last about 6 months and then you gotta buy a expensive new chip for it??? Maybe just a rumor, but if I were to choose between XBOX and PS2 theres no doubt I would get PS2. I've played the q-u-a-d game on it and it was SWEET!!!

Well excuse me retard I didn't make it up I had no reason too I just heard from a kid in school that's like 110% into video games and told me that. Oh yea I never owned playstation nor do I want to but I played the q-u-a-d game at my friend's and it was pretty damn cool. Read before you type..:p

That is completely false. You will not "lose your graphics". There is no ghost in the machine that dumbs it down in 6 months (thinks to self: well it is M$ so you never know:)) Your bud seems like he knows vwery little if he is spouting that kind of pooh.

hollyroller, do you have to have the DVD remote to play DVD's? We got an extra controller, Halo, NFL Fever 02, Project Gotham Racing, and a memory card. :) :) Man, bring on Christmas!

Yes you do have to have the remote for DVD playback. M$'s way of getting a little extra cash out of ya, I guess.:think

played my xbox a little today. Simply amazing. Halo is incredible. Everybody should play this one :)

Does anybody know what the deal is with XBOX/computer gaming? Like pc ports and all that garbage. I'd like to play computer games too like on the tv or whatever you can do.

My friend's dad has connections to Microsoft (somehow), and got a free xbox. His sister got mad at him, and kicked his xbox hard enough for it to fly and then dent the wall. He wasn't very happy the next day at school.

i love my xbox, i have PS2, DC, and XBox and IMO XBox beats them all(but not by much.) Take a look at Project Gotham Racing for XBox, that game is incredible. I cant wait till Max Payne comes out.

I've heard that the X-box is just microsoft's way of making it into your home. There are supposedly plans in the works to make the X-box broadband capable in some way. Should be interesting to see where they go with it.

You're all a part of Bill's plan. Except BigLou, of course.;)
