Just wondering who MS is going to align with to provide their service etc. Should be interesting how it pans out and what kind of waves it creates in various industries, especially the one that pays my bills (telecom/isp).:uh:

When it really starts working, it should be interesting to see who starts crying first and who cries loudest.

I have both the ps2 and xbox. the Ps2 is good but the xbox games look sharper. So to me the xbox is better gaming wise ans graphics

Technically to be an emulator the hardware doing the emulation must be 2-4 times as powerful as the original hardware to pull it off.

Having a dedicated processor with one of the most powerful GPU's on the market(2-3 faster than the Geforce 3) it will be some time before the average PC can accurately emulate the box.

Here is some good reading from from the head architect at Nvidia about the power of the xbox GPU. It really is quite advanced. http://www.funxbox.com/features/nvidia1.shtml

yeah i know emulators never really work right anyways. I didnt know the xbox was that strong in the graphics dept.. it sure does produce sweet results. also the price of a future video card that could handle the games will probably be the same cost or more than the xbox:(

I just saw something interesting on anandtech's web site, dont give microsoft any more $ than u have to!

"Microsoft sells a system link cable for $15 that is nothing more than a conventional CAT5 crossover cable."
