mix problem

i know this might be a dumb questions for someone who has been rding for abotu 10 years but what is the exact mix ration to gas and oil for a 1985 yz80. because i bought one of the little bottles and its said to put 8 ounces in a 2 gallon tank and 6 in a one gallon tank and that sounds wierd but i wanted to ride and the bike kept bogging when i went to turn around and let the clutch out and give it full throttle to wheelie and it started to bogg so i had to let off a bit and use the clutch in mid gear and it went straight up and also its smoking alot.

Well the 8 ounces into 8 gallons will give you 32:1 which would be fine. I don't know why it would say to put 6 ounces into the tank unless it was a 1.5 gallon tank. But anyway just stick with the 32:1.

32:1- factory is 4ounces to a gallon
40:1 is 3.2 ounces to a gallon this is what i use ,and klotz oil


kx02--- 8 oz to 8gal-? is this a type o???
thats only 1 ounce a gallon-lol
the old factory was 20:1 ratio- (a lot of oil) - 6ounces to a gallon

I think KX02 just made a typo 4oz to a gallon is 32:1 and that should be fine.

128oz in a gallon

128 / 4 = 32 or 32:1
128 / 8 = 16 or 16:1
