SLEEP???!!! I've heard that word before, hmmm........ MACE, The solid checkplate is softer damping because it moves so far off of the MV piston that it pretty much has unrestricted oil flow. The spring that holds the checkplate on the MV doesnt present any realtime resistence as for any damping effect. The DRZ uses a checkplate design, it has about 3 to 4mm of float. We put a shim stack in there with very little float and it makes a HUGE difference. Allright you guys talked me into it......I'm gonna bag out.....got to be up in 3 hours to go wrench on airplane motors...... No Rest For The Wicked!!!
