I bought my ttr230 last month for my 31 birthday present. I am 5'4", 130 lbs. I was originally going to get a ttr 125. They said if I was aggresive in nature I would grow out of it in a month. They were right. I am already wondering what I will replace my ttr230 with. I am currently clearing 35ft jumps. Nothing over my head. I have had wonderfull instruction. It is my new favorite hobby. It has been a dream for 20 years to ride a dirt-bike. I originally thought I would like trail riding better but I have only been on the track so far and I don't want to stop. I am only left with one option. I must buy a 2 stroke track bike and use both. I am glad to join the exclusive club of " motorcross motorcycle mama's". I wonder if there is a real club ??? Na probably not. Most moms ride quads.

Congrats. Check out the Women's Forum on here and you'll find some mom's who ride dirt bikes. If I recall, there's even one who races a CR500.

BTW, if you learn to ride it well, a 100, 125 or 250 2 stroke will work quite well for both trails and track. . . The KDX or KTM 200's are nice as well.

Or, you could look for a 250 MX 4 stroke.

Welcome to the site

Thanks for setting up your User CP and updated information relating to your location. Grab a spot on the couch.

Before you jump off and buy a new bike you might want to check out the Bikes for the Ladies thread in the Women's Forum. Ask any questions that you might have and I am sure you will get all the answers that you will want. Some of the finest women in dirtbikes hang out in there daily.

Also, check out the Team DRN Mile High Chapter forum for opportunities to hook up with some fellow DRNers. Scattered from Southern New Mexico to Northern Colorado, these folks cover the extremes of riding in the US, from desert to 12,000 foot mountain passes.

If you can afford it, keep the 230. It would be great for Moab. We have a ride there every May.

Again, welcome to the site and shout if you have any questions!

I don't think you will find many quad riders at all in the DRN womens forum. The majority of us race or ride tracks, harescrambles and enduros. Welcome to the site!
