1) your physical size (both height and weight are important)
5'4" 150
2) How physical / aggressive are you ?
Moderately aggressive, but cautious
3) what do you plan to ride- MX/SX tracks, woods, fields with friends or ?????
Some mx tracks, lots of trails/woods - usually alone
4) Do you have any riding experience?
About a year on a YZ125
5) Do you think you will race ?
No
6) Are you mechanically inclined and will you be doing your own bike work?
I can do basic maintenance and can learn more as needed
7) Do YOU have a preferance to a brand/ motor choice (2 or 4 stroke)?
Have a deal with local Yamaha shop - would prefer to stay with Yamaha - I think they also carry some Suzukis tho ...
8) Do you have a dealer close by your home that you might use and what brand(s) does he carry?
Yes - Yamaha
9) How much ($) do you plan to spend on a bike?
Can go as high as $7,000 or so
10) Do you live in California?
No
11) Your age?
28
12) anything else that you think would help form an opinion
When not on a track will be riding in an ATV park that has a lot of very steep/technical-ish hills. I had power problems with these hills with my 125 that I hope to avoid with the new ride.

Thanks for any advice

Well _JOE_ I appreciate the lone reply! :)

The other choice would be the TTR230 - I guess more of a trail bike? I'm torn between those 2 choices.

Anyone else?

You said you'll be doing some mx. That's enough of a reason not to go with the ttr. Besides, you are lookin to move UP from a yz125. The ttr would be down.

Thanks all! I've just got to decide on the flavor now - 2 stroke or 4.

whenfoxforks-ruled - I had a minibike when I was really young - my dad used to call me Brad Lackey Jr. It was years and years later that I actually learned who Brad was.

If you do lots of trails, woods, and hill, how about a WR250F? Or a YZ250 if you want to stay with a 2-stroke.
