I picked up a new project that needs finishing touches, a YSR with a '91 YZ125 motor. I have a stock TZ125 pipe that would fit the chassis/engine as if it was made for it (re-TIGing of a flange coupler for cylinder mating only). Is it possible to port & modify the YZ motor to use the TZ pipe? Currently is has some sort of "Frankenpipe" (stock pipe bandsawed and re-welded to fit), talk about hideous looking. I am looking for more up on top, and the hacked up MX pipe is just too long for the RPMs I fear (TZ pipe is much shorter). Do you think you could "juice" the cylinder & head to meet my needs? Any input would be appreciated.

The 1991 YZ125 was a copy of an early TZ250 cylinder design. It was known for its radical port timing. It should be good to go in stock form. Good luck
