First thing first, :moon:
this guy doesn't know that much, and second SOMETIMES I get a kick out of his semi-rude responses, but I was just reading this in his column and all I have to say is :debil:

Q. I have a 1996 honda XR100. I want to beef up the suspension as the stock suspension is too sluggish for my wife who rides it (130 lbs.). What is the best wat to do this. Is there a beefier shock absorber or shock spring that I can add to get more active suspension and get rid of the sluggish, soft shock response I have now.

A. Adding beef to your rear suspension? I would recommend tenderloin, as it mimics the stock shock shape, and would bolt up nicely. However, noting your wife’s less than petite girth, I would keep any of the leftovers away from her pie hatch. An alternative would be to call Works Performance (818)-701-1010 as they manufacture a superior rear shock that would dramatically improve the rear end. Once the rear is correct, you’ll notice the forks are wretched as well, so call Scott’s Performance at 818-248-6747. Please go away.

Hmmm.........................130 pounds is too fat now? Sheesh wonder what he thinks just right is, 50 pounds?

and here is his response to obviously a small child's letter.

Q. I have a pw80 and oil is spraying out the back of my muffler to the point that my back tire has an oil slick on it.Can you help me

thaks
Dustin

A. It has been said, "Even a blind pig finds an acorn every once in awhile." I fear your cognitive and tactile abilities are below that of an impaired swine, I cannot help you but take solace in knowing your rear tire will never rust.

Once again HMMMMM, we are suppose to be a helpful community, Some kids might be crushed to hear this and just not like biking anymore.

I mean don't get me wrong I laugh at the odd one, but I would love for him to talk to a guy like Rich so he could tear Mr.K a new one.

What's the guy's prob?
ps, Last time I checked he has a nice sized girth him self :silly:

pps, It's nice idiots like this that get to represent a small portion of the dirtbike world.

Rock on:aj:

Way back when I worked for the original Mr. Know It All (Vic Krause). I found the column much more entertaining when Vic did it. Big shock there :silly:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Rondo Talbot writes it now. His rude responses give me the impression that he is covering up a complete lack of knowledge...:moon:

I could be wrong, but I think Rondo Talbot writes it now. His rude responses are just a cover up for a lack of knowledge, or a lack of answers to cut&paste....:moon:

Didn't I read in "Monkey Butt" That Rondo Talbot is a pen name first used by Rick Sieman and then appropriated by various DB staffers over the years?

that's all fine and good, but besides knowing my rear tire won't rust...what's the problem.ha! i crack myself up, and so does mr know it all, to an extent, that extent ending when i read a question i might have asked. heck, that's the only reason i hang around here, to save my self the public embarrassment of stupid questions and poor spelling.:moon: btw, nobody ever took jaybird as a "know it all"..heck,it's obvious, he rides a KTM.

Vic always liked to say "make it happen with MONEY" . If you had the money you got the bike :)

In 1978 I might have been the guy who prepped your bike :) Vic was a tough guy to work for but I still really like him. He gave me my start in the motorcycle business (originally working for free on Saturdays) and he was the guy who introduced me to Eric Gorr so I'll always feel a debt of gratitude towards him. Besides the guy is a ton of fun to hang out with especially at Trade Shows and on road trips. His antics at the old Cincinati shows is the stuff of legends.

You know you are old when.......;) j/k of course

You guys sure have some cool stories, it's kind of what I am getting at, I have some vintage issues and the stuff used to be funny, but he would actually help people. Now there is suppose to be some hatred for 80 riders yet the new Mr.K helps them out? Even quad riders:moon: but whensome who cleary needs help he tells them where to put it, oh well.

Wardy and Rich have a different opinion of a person and they both express it without it impacting their opinion for each other.

What a concept Ivan;)

It just goes to show they have done that "growing-up" thing that old people talk about, and they both show good character

suckers:aj:

I can say a couple things about Vic. For one, he makes damn good chains and sprockets. For another, I called SW on a Sunday once hoping there would be someone there. There was only one fella there, Vic. I had about a half-hour conversation with him about chains and he didn't know me from Adam. No sales pitches, just honest talk about the industry.
I like Vic. :)

But then, I like Wardy and Rich too....I just hate to admit it.
