doug blackwell got overall after some changes were made. the score machine results had blackwell in third (i think) and the officials had written over that and had given blackwell the overall and AA win.
this whole race was a cluster ****

How muddy/sloppy was it? I decided to sit this one out becuase I thought it was going to be a terrible mess. I have been there for the last 3 years and each time have said that I wasn't coming back. I didn't come back this year. This race needs a different date on the MSWS schedule. It's just too nasty in IL this time of year to have a race.

it was as bad as you thought it was going to be. i made it about a mile. after getting myself and 5 or 6 other bikes unstuck i decided to call it quits. the worse part was they decided to start cutting sections out of the coarse about an hour into it. pa allen got stuck in one of those sections and they cut it before he got out so every one behind him got to jump in front of him. needless to say he was not very happy. not sure what place he was in when that happened but when he passed me he was top three (he end up about 8th). the promoter said they asked scott horton for a new date next year. said December in southern illinois just does not work.
by the way roger, have you talked to jeremy. he got 2nd.

chad made it about 1 mile further than I did before he racked hisself on his handle bars and began to revisit his breakfast. mark quit when i did but decided to contiune when we got word of the coarse being shorten. he ended up with 2nd place after completing 1 lap in 2 hours.
