Minor improvements here and there for the MX. 16 race series for both MX and SX....FINALLY!! MX is two moto format, SX is HEAT and MAIN with and LCQ if you need it. Bike handling is somewhat different in that they don't do the rapid streetbike turns in the corners and the rider stays a bit more upright than before. The bike is harder to ride and you can't get away with some of the stuff you used to be able to. Casing and jumping front wheel low at high speed into a set of whoops will put you down a whole lot quicker. The back end swaps around in the whoops at SX. First person view does have handlebars and a fender now.
The tracks seem somewhat more realistic in that they don't crisscross (the ones that I have seen so far) so you shouldn't be t-boned. I am only about 3 or 4 rounds into both SX and MX. One of the nationals tracks has water crossings though - a throw back to ATV off road fury maybe???
It appears that you can race 125s against 250s. Career modes are SEPARATE for ATVs and Bikes. The golf cart racing was sorta amuzing. I trashed Windham in one SX and it appears there is quite a selection or pro-riders and bikes but a LOT of stuff needs to be unlocked. Didn't have time to venture too much into freestyle or customizing a whole lot. I was the first and only guy online today so I was only able to run a race by myself. That is where it is going to be because career mode on hard isn't that hard, at least with the settings currently available. They appear to have a points based ranking system and I am planning on JAMES380 being at the top of it.
My only complaint at this point is that the crashes look a whole lot better in MXUnleashed. They happen to quickly and abrubtly now and the rider basically gets slammed on the ground and that is it. One you cross the finish line, the race is over, no more turning around to crash the rest of the field. Oh well.
I think it is going to be a lot of fun. Lets race online!!
