I have a Kawasaki Kx 80. I was riding it wide open throttle and all the sudden it just lost power in the top end. It is not overloaded, we checked the plug and let it sit for a while. (if i am wrong please correct my statement) It will start fine, getting spark, air, and fuel at low rpm. However as soon as i rev it to wide open throttle or just high rpm it totally loses power and it barely runs, we thought it was overloaded , but i am quite sure it isn't, so if anyone has had this happen or knows what it could be PLEASE HELP. I have not ridden my bike in THREE weeks and i am suffering severe withdrawls looking at my ramps and seeing grass all over them. Maybe my bike isn't getting enough air intake, but my dad checked the reed valve and carb it looked to operate fine. PLease Help, Thank you so much

have you pulled apart the carb and cleaned it. I've seen the same symptoms when a chunk of crud was getting sucked in to the main jet . only happend at WOT. at idle and mid it was ok.

I'd check that main jet as well. I'd bet it has something in it.
