My bike likes to turn right

Please help. My bikes wants to tuck in when I turn right and wants to stand up when I turn left. I had a big get-off recently and bent my bars slightly, but no matter how much I twist my wheel with my knees it won't get better. I have loosened all the pinch bolts on my forks to re-align and I have checked to make sure my back tire is straight. When I jump my back end wants to go to the right of me. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Remove the front axle and roll it on a flat surface to see if it might be bent. The bike will pull to the side when this happens.

Thank you, I will check that tonight. I was also thinking that when I just put a new tube in, I may have not made sure the bead was set on both sides. I suppose this could cause a problem too.

I had a rear wheel adjuster brake on one side and the rear wheel was out of alinement that caused my bike to do the same thing. Ed

I think I figured it out. When I put my front wheel on last time I pulled the axle too far towards the disc side instead of making it flush. I centered things up tonight and coasted the bike down the hill in my neighbourhood. I think it is better, I'll have to see when I go riding tomorrow. I also discovered a great new workout that combines slalom and cardio.

Check fork tube height also. Mine was pulling to one side recently and one fork tube was slightly more up in the clamps than the other.

Thank you, I checked that right away at the track, and they were fine. Do you think that not having the axle flush could cause the problem?

If you want to make sure the rear wheel is aligned with the chassis, find a stationary point on the chassis, like the pivot shaft, and measure back to the axle.
I do this to make sure my adjusters are accurate.

I thought I had it figured out but nothing works. I guess I'll take it in and see if one of my triple clamps is bent. :bang:
