I'm coming off a thumper and learning the ways of the 2 stroke. I am running about 35/40:1 mix with the stock jetting on my 2002 CR250. I pulled my plug after running and it was all carboned up and black and wet. Now do I adjust my needle setting or my fuel setting? change your main jet. By using a BPR7ES spark plug you may get away with doing nothing and find the entire power range will clean up; make darn shure you turn your air screw in to about 1/4 to 1/2 turns out though; to richen the low end fuel circuit. :cool:
