I got some scrap neoprene from a dive shop, and some wet suit glue. The scrap pieces were brand new, but they didnt use them so I got 1 foot diameter circles, which I then cut rectangular to fit my forks. Took the glue and glued the two sides togther. Total cost: $4 for the neoprene, and $8 for a bottle of glue which should make, Im guessing, hundreds of sets. After receiving my short seal savers, I bought off http://www.sealsavers.com/abi002/we...age_ID=1&DID=19 I was disappointed at the price I paid, and the lenght of them. After the exchange rate, they cost me $30 for a pair of tiny seal savers. The long ones would have run me nearly $40. I have been on two rides with theses ones, and they work prefect. They are also much thicker (2mm) then real sealsavers. I think they are better then the accordian style boots.

Nice!

Does the top of the seal saver stay fixed in place on the fork tube and accordian up and down or does the fork tube slide within the seal?

I have a zip tie around the top of the saver to keep any mud or dirt out of them, but if you cut them good, they will fit snug. I cut mine a little on the big side. The saver accordians up and down when the forks are compressed.
