The trail was great, the river crossings were a hoot and it was just a fun ride. We could have used some rain to keep the dust down though. I rode minute 40 with Bulldog, Becker and Rob Roy. I was riding like a spode, and Bulldog was hauling the mail and cleaning my clock by first gas. I started out a minute late after first gas, but cranked it up and caught Bulldog - YAHOO, but then my day went really south. I was riding the rear brake hard to catch Bulldog and I boiled the rear brake bad, and lost the pedal completely. I had never boiled the rear brake before and I thought it was broke, so I adjusted the pedal (DUMB), and took off. The brake came back, but then locked up because I had adjusted the pedal - DOH!, so I stopped again and adjusted the pedal back. The brake was fading the rest of the day, and I went into the restart 6 minutes late, and into the final restart 2 minutes late! OH CRAP. I really SUCKO with no rear brake. Lesson learned - replace at brake fluid more often and run carbon pads, and umh yeah don't drag the rear brake so much. Now I know what it means to boil the brakes. My rotor is now a pretty purple color and my brake fluid was cooked to a nice dark brown color. For B-Vet Bulldog rode great all day and took 2nd, 1st D14, SuperbikeMike took 2nd D14 (on a front flat), and Napper took 3rd D14, and I brought up the rear. Rob Roy rode the last 2 sections with a rear flat and still won A Senior. That dude rocks. I was following Rob back after the last check and he was leaving me behind with a flat tire! Jeez. Becker burned out his clutch on the ktm 2 hundy AGAIN!
