I can say if you've only been riding for a year or two that going for a XR100 to a XR250 would be a little much because the deffernces are huge between the two. I can say having prevously owning a XR100 and going to a TT-R225 it was a huge differnce but i had over 8 years riding experince before this so that helped alot.
