Hello everyone. I have been reading the forums for the last couple of months and finally signed up; this is an awesome site with tons of information. The last two bikes I had were both CR125s (1985 and 1987). I recently went riding with my cousin, who has continued to ride all these years, and I became hooked again. I really can't believe I stayed away for this long. In any event, I just bought a 2005 Honda CRF450 and am looking forward to riding this spring and summer. From what I'm told, the power and torque that the CRF450 puts out is unbelievable! I looked forward to posting threads in the future and contributing to this site.

Yes it is! When I went to the track with my cousin, I didn't know what the heck was going on with all these 4 strokes - I was so far out of it, clueless. I have never ridden a thumper so it should be very interesting the first time out. I think I will find a field where I can just feel the thing out for a couple of hours and then hit the track. I don't care, I'm just glad to be back!

Welcome to the site

Thanks for setting up your User CP and updated information relating to your location. Grab a spot on the couch and tell us a bit about yourself. How long you have been riding, what kind of riding you prefer, where you are located, etc. We will do our best to hook you up with some fellow dirt bike enthusiasts.

I know CT is small (relatively anyway), but what part you in. Some of the finest folks on the site hang their hat just east of you near Providence, RI.

Watch the Damn Yankee Dirt Riders forum for information on an upcoming spring ride at Paragon Adventure Park. Jump in there and say hi as well, the DYDRers are great folks.

Again, welcome to the site and shout if you have any questions!

I live in Franklin, CT and am a member of the Central Cylce Club which is about 20 minutes away in Central Village, CT. The track at the club is a SX style track with lots of jumps and tight corners. I am looking forward to riding again.

Sorry it took so long to respond as my cable modem wasn't working until yesterday.

No problem we'll let it slide ;)

Welcome to DRN.

Do you ride woods too, or just on tracks? If you like tackling trails from time to time we have a damn yankee group ride happening in june. Maybe one in April too.
