hi guys,i am new to the site.i decided to ride my bike again before i get too old(47 with a dodgy back!)i spent the last 18 years restoring old honda twins but got the urge to get the old rm out in anger again.it,s an '81 rm125 that i have owned @17 years.it starts real easy and runs sweet, but when i rebuilt it all those years ago from a pile of parts i could not see any rotor or stator marks so set the stator at mid position on its 2 mount screws.i checked tonight and can see no timing marks.i dont want to do any permanent damage so how do i find the correct rotational stator position?i have heard these very early w/cooled bikes are a seminal model-is this true?i am based in manchester,uk.thanks for any help to preserve the old girl.
