New here, and to dirtbiking, help!

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and am not into dirtbiking, yet. But, I'd love to so looking for some help because I definitly have no idea what I'm doing. Just looking for some guidance!

What kind of help are you looking for, if you post your thoughts in their correct categories we can give honest opinions on your questions. Maybe you are looking for a bike, give us some info weight, height etc. and we can get you started. Thats for joining DRN :)

I am new as well. I just started looking for a bike and quickly realized that I need some guidance.

I am 5'5" and 120lbs. I have ridden my friends TTR125 but the body was really small (she's quite tiny). In time (once I graduate school) I would love to race, but for the next two years I will just trail ride with my friends.

What kind of bike should I look for? If I plan on getting serious in a few years, should I buy an older model for now (money is a concern) and upgrade later, or should I buy a decent one now and be dissappointed that it's not the best in a few years?

Also, what is the difference between a two-stroke and a four-stroke?
