hey there guys. I'm from texas and just picked up a 1973 tc 100. needs some help( battery, air filter, spark plug) is there anything i need to check?

That was my first bike, so I'm a little biased, so yeah, I say fix it up!

Looks like it has been sitting in the sun for awhile, but looks like a pretty low mileage bike.

Is it worth if financially? Probably not. It migh cost more to fix it up than it will be worth when you are done.

A carb and shift lever from the more common TS100 would work fine.

For those that have not seen one of these before, the motor is a rotary valve, so the carb is under that cover on the right side.

You might be able to wire it to run without the battery.

The stock suspension is pretty weak. If you plan on riding it aggressively, you will want to replace the shocks and add more oil to the forks.

If you take the stinger off the pipe, you will get more low end power but lose a lot of top end.

The rubber foot pegs are very slippery when wet.

you're right it is low mileage. has 2200 miles on it i believe. thanks for the info. that's very helpful. where should i look for the shift lever and carb?
