Hi everyone, I just picked my first real dirt bike a 1995 kdx. It starts easily and seems to run well, but I think there is a problem with the power valve. I took the left-side slotted cover off and revved the engine, kips shaft seemed to turn fully and quickly. However when I backed off the throttle, the shaft was slow to return and only returned about 2/3 of the way. I could turn the shaft fully closed by hand but it would not close fully on its own. The bike only has a few rides on a new top end and I would hate to remove cylinder if I can help it. Money is tight and I have to buy fork seals and rear suspension bearings (both shot). Can I get away with re-using gaskets once (probably bad idea)? Can I just disconnect the "bear claw" and run in closed position? Would it hurt to spray carb cleaner or something into opening? Thanks in advance for any advice, hope I can contribute myself once I get up to speed.

Tony
