new RM85 - some assembly required...
Picked up an 06 RM85 for my son on friday. Started to prep the bike today for him to ride on Sunday. Immediately ran into some interesting things from the dealer - like front wheel bolts that i could spin off with my fingers, no cotter pin in front axle per manual instructions (to hold that loose nut on), bar clamps ~1" too low on front fork tubes, chain tension way too loose (sagging), tire pressure off my bike gauge. and initially i thought they were being thorough as many bolts are marked with white paint (something i do when i want to make sure a bolt remains in position) - perhaps this was from the factory? anyway, i am concerned about what else the dealer neglected to do during setup since these were very obvious errors. I have never "uncraited" a new bike - so, I was hoping that someone can tell me what i should look for - as in every part that the dealer "should" have touched during assembly. wonder if they even put premix in the fuel when they ran the bike - better check the trans oil too... i plan to call the owner about this and i can't wait for the suzuki customer satisfaction card to arrive :yell: i know that MX bikes are not big for this dealer - but they were clearly negligent :yikes:
