The odometer on our '97 KDX220 got smashed in a recent fall. Our wealthy local dealer wanted $135 for a replacement. I declined the offer... Went a few blocks away to a cycle salvage place and looked thru a few used parts bins. Found a nice odo from a KLX250. $35. Neat thing is, it's better than the KDX odo. It has both a trip odometer, and a regular odometer. Using my superior skills of used car "reconditioning", I easily rolled back the main odo to zero. The KLX odo bolts to the handlebar mounts perfectly. Just like it was designed to be there... Excellent solution; better odometer, cheaper by $100, five minute installation.
