Anyone plan to race all or part of the series this year? I've done Cranberry Lake the last 2 years, and am planning to hit every race this year. The first race is Feb. 23rd. :yeehaw:

I plan on riding some of the fun ones. In years past I have run the Shelton events, filthy pup, nasty wench, golden spike, son of a wench, rimrock, etc. I also want to try some enduros this year. Personally, I thought the Filthy Pup was about as much fun as trying to eat pizza with your lips stapled shut. (But someone probably loved it). I stole this line from Wolfman Webb when he described another Bellingham NMA race. Single lane slot car rut through 3 miles of tree roots. Most of the others are a lot of fun. I also plan to do Idaho City and some WORCS events.

Has anyone ridden the Grizzly Hare Scrambles at Longview before? What is the track like?
I can't decide between that and the Spring Hare Scrambles in Eastern Wa the same weekend.

I am planning on riding the longview track this weekend but the last time I checked the weather was going to rain grr shoulda gone this past weekend. They have a website for the longview track http://longviewmx.com not alot of info or pics on there yet though. In the past the grizzly haresrcambles has been held at trulesons (sp) I've gone and checked it out looks like it woulda been alot of fun. Compared to some of the others i've gone to this one tends to be more wide open. It was some light mx, single track and grass track. Longview should be really similar.

That sounds perfect. My kind of track!

If anyone has ridden at longview, let us know how it is.
Thanks

Re Griz:

This is our first year at Longview. I hear it is fun - but I haven't been there yet. I got an unsolicited rave review from a relative of a club member (which is good enough for the internet, eh? )

Trulson's was top notch the first year when we had perfect weather. The next two years we got pretty wet and it was a "no wusses" event. Longview is supposed to be more of a sandy soil and will hold up to rain better.

I'm pretty stoked about the event :yeehaw:
