This isn't 100% official, but I am confident of the source that I got it from. It should be official by next week.

I know little about this... was an application submitted? Not that it is any of my business.

My son and I will be back. Great trails - period.

Looks like I'll get to do at least one national next year. Maplesville is hard though!

Both of these rounds are normal D-36 enduros. The Quicksilver (round 2) is the first enduro of our schedule.
The Sawmill (round 5) is what we commonly refer to as "The Swimmill". It has a coulple of river crossings that are deep in good weather & "special" in rainy weather.

Now THIS is a sad day for our sport!
Well Ohio - Indiana & Delaware didn't get one either....Its going to make it really tuff on the midwest & eastern riders having to travel great distances to compete on the national level.

A geat lakes series would be cool...

Our D14 schedule already includes events in D15 (Indiana) and D16 (Marquette). Maybe we should add D17...maybe we should add Byron, IL???

Think MidWest Championship Enduro Series!

That's why www.midwestenduros.com was created, in hopes of starting up a midwest enduro series much like that of Setra, Netra, Blackjack, etc.

The Great Lakes series was a great series and that's what we would be trying to revive. But the clubs have to help and it has to be promoted as the series to race which takes time and effort, something I'm very short on lately.

This could be done but promotion and effort from a lot more people will be necessary, As FlyinRyan says ,MY plate is full any more on it at this time will probably make me a single man!

Heck, Why not just add New Jersey and Minnesota as well. :coocoo:

p.s.--no offense F&S....I'll be in agreement with you when the price of gas goes down to 50 cents a gallon.

Maybe Magoo or Trailboss Nick could fill in some holes for us as to whether or not the Sandstormers even applied or what the full story is behind their exclusion!

None taken. A big reason that more effort has not been put into a Great Lakes series is the price of gas. The other reason is the time required to set it up.

I should start another post to bounce ideas around.

Just got back from riding in Utah. Yeah we applied, denied because they say its too tough. So my vote since no national date why even do a enduro. Like Magoo says they should be easies. Heck I only want to drive 2 hours Max to do a easy. Do not be suprised if there is no event in Marquette for 07 kids or adult.
