Please help I am lost. I have a 2001 yam YZ 250 with no spark.
I cecked the ohm readings on the coil and it checks good.
I checked the reading on the stator and triger coil.
The sec. charge coil should be 900 ohm +- 20%. Mine was .800 ohms. So I ordered a brand new stator put it in and still no spark.
It also checked out to .800 ohm instead of 900.
Could the new one be bad too? Or do I have another problem?
This bike has 2 sets of wires to the carb also.
I think the CDI is bad but I want to be sure its $200.
Anybody have any advice. It would be helpful.

Thanks\

check the earth contacts too!

ive got a spare 01yz250 black box, if you want i can compare resistances etc for you- just tell me which wires etc.

if you get stuck, let me know this is a working spare that i would be prepared to let go!

Thanks for the help.
Yeah the kill switch was the first thing I checked.

If you could give me the ohm reading of your bikes stator that would be great.
If you unplug the 6 wire plug that goes from the stator to the black box.
Please check between the middle 2 pins of the stator side. I think the colors
are black and brown black. The book says 900 ohm +- 20%. If you can let me know that would be great.

Also how much do you want for the spare black box? Im not sure I need it yet
but it could be bad.
thanks
