just curious, if people run pump gas on 2-strokes & what needs to be done to use pump gas with a 2-stroke & still have decent power & a healthy machine. Thanks!

I run 92 octane in my '99 kx125 and am running stock jetting one leaner on the pilot. And I seem to be up in the pack 5th-10th. I'd be better if i worked out I think.

so, if i understand correctly, you don't mix anything in the fuel for the bike to run properly right?

I would recommend mixing some oil in it unless it has some kind of oil injector.

I know a lot of people that mix 50/50 pump & race gas and rave about it. I personally only use race gas, C-12 mostly but in a pinch ran pump gas and worked ok. I used only pump gas in my 98 125 2 smoke and ran fine, just not as much on the higher rpms but that's my experiance.

Ha haha you guys got me ya I mix oil in to Torco GP7 40:1, and I run staight pump gas 92 octane. The thing is when your burning pump fuel like I am its not a clean burn meaning theres more carbon build up giving you a little less performance.

You do not need race gas and it does not help you much for how much it cost. I do not know a person that races and that uses race gas. Pump gas is good enough and you will have no problem at all unless you do a hell of a lot of engine mods but it sounds like you are just starting to ride so I do not think you are going to have all the goddies like port jobs and running very hight compression.
