novice again, needle help please

Sounds like I need to adjust me needle so I twisted the carb, pulled out the slide, disconnected the cable from it, but can't figure out how to get the needle out of the slide so I can move the clip up a notch or two. My manual says, "remove the needle" but my innorance prevents me. I know it must be simple, help!

Look inside the slide there is a small cap to be removed 8mm or 6 mm I think. It has a slot in it to accept the cable. Remove it and needle will slide out

Thanks, there is indeed a 6 mm in there and I put some torque on it but wasn't sure and it wasn't coming out easy so I didn't crank to hard. I'll give it another go.
