1997 kdx 200. Is it as simple as opening the drain bolt and then refilling to correct level in glass. Or is it more complicated than that, eg KTM's filler bolts etc.
Also how often should it be done, first play with a 2st.
Simple as that! Use a full quart of oil when refilling. I use Bel Ray Gear Saver, clutch works much better with this oil. I change mine every third or fourth ride.
I ditto dsndblm's maintenance routine except I use 15-50 Mobil 1. No reason I use the synth oil, just cause I'm dooped into believing it is kinder to my bike. After installing the EFM autoclutch mod, I have to admit, the parts inside looked as good as brand new parts to me and my bike is a 1999.
I just watch the color of the oil in the window after about 3 rides or so it looks like a oil chane wouldn't hurt. But like outgus said oil is cheap insurance
