Ladies,
We seems to have over 20 girls that want to come but with only 2 teachers it is hard to do more then 20. So we are thinking of having Kerrie come again so that we can have everyone and enough teacher. We plan to break into 3 groups based on ability. So you ask how we are going to decide who will be in each group. Well our thoughts are to do it like they do in Ski school. We will have certain sections set up that on Saturday morning everyone will be asked to ride and then we will determine what group each person will be in. (Please don't be offended by what group you are put into. Personally when I started trials last year I made a BIG mistake by thinking I was good enough to ride the advanced class and now I realize that the BASICS are the MOST important things to know to succeed. Once I figured this out all I did was turns and balance a month before the Trial De Nations and I ended up beating both Kerrie and Laura who have many years of trials experience.) We also plan to have each group get the opportunity to work with each teacher so you can see all of our views.
Now this is a thought and I want your imput. I was thinking that on Sunday late morning after some lessons we would break into groups of 4-5 and then we would have 5 sections set up. Some would be about a 2 mile trail section that is arrowed, or a big hill climb or a section with tight turns. Then we would have each group start at a section and ride it. Certain sections you will be scored on how fast you can ride while others you will be given points for touching your feet or sitting down, etc. . . (kind of like a trial but with sections set up more for enduro.) You would ride each section 2-3 times and scores would be kept. I thought this would be a fun way to end the school and would give you the opportunity under pressure to try out the skills you have learned. Please let me know if you like this idea. If not that is FINE we don't have to do it. Just a thought.
Thanks!
