How'd you do? Was that a fast track or what? Didn't seem like 10 miles to me.
I had a blast, got stuck in the only deep rut there, only fell three or four times, didn't fall in the palmettos, finished mid-pack, and I'll be back in two weeks!:)
That was a fast track. Be prepared for the next race to be a tight woods race. Better hone up on your single track riding and passing skills. Ended up tenth or eleventh out of twenty in my class.
Went down twice on my own and got taken out by a 125 rider who didn't feel it was necesary to either pass or wait for an opening in a tight section while I was following another rider in my class. It wasn't safe for me to pass the other rider and the kid rearending me, put me sideways and down on the ground. I yelled, but he continued on. I saw his bike later after the event was over and he was no where near it. In fact I stayed till three and he still didn's show up. The bike was parked next to another bike in my class beside a white trailer. Looks like he came with someone in my class and did him a favor. I really don't like having those kamakaze kids starting in the row behind me.
You in Master B like me? Sounds like you might be. I guess not I re-read your post - twenty riders, Master C? I think I'd like to see the kids start in front of us. They go fast but they stop a lot. Know what I mean?
I'd like to see more single tight stuff, that fast stuff scared me.
I hope they get the 2 hour cut off time thing figured out by then. Some of the guys were not happy about getting sent out for another lap and then not getting scored for it.
