Pastrana Practices for New Years Eve

Travis is the Red Bull athlete doing the big NYE stunt this year after Robbie Maddison did the last two. The plan is for Travis to launch a car off Long Beach Pier and shatter the long distance record for a car jump and then land on a barge, stopping within a couple of hundred feet!

I hope that barge has a good lip on it if he comes up short.
I bet he has a scuba tank inside the car too.Or I hope he does.
They better have divers ready with a crane to latch the car and bring him up should the car sink.....

Car jump or submarine racer?

He needs a load of dry ice in the trunk incase he misses the barge and the car sinks, it's a low tech but reliable method for divers to follow.

LOL this is awesome. I bet he totals more cars in a couple of months than the Dukes of Hazzard did all the years the series ran! LOL :yikes:

Dukes Vs. Scrap Metal

An old friend of mine built 2800 roll cages for that tv series, he's retired now but when the dukes movie was recently made, he was brought on as a tech adviser. He had a classic old one liner, " Hey buckaroo, hand me that gas axe, for i've welded myself in & I can't fit out of here". He was a rather round guy & required a rather wide doorway. :ohmy:
