PDS4 OR PDS8 Whats the diferance

What is the diferance between a PDS4 and a PDS8 rear shock spring?

PDS 4 = 8.5 kg/ 11.0 kg
PDS 8 = 8.1 kg /9.95 kg

PDS 0 - 4 = 250 mm in length
PDS 5 - 8 = 260 mm in length.

I think, and I might be wrong, the PDS 5 - 8 are for the SX bikes.

If you are between 200-220lbs and are a fast MXer the PDS4 is the way to go.

CP380SX Thanks for the info on the pds4 the I just picked up a pds8 today I'm 37 230lbs long time dirt rider and would like to get in to some MX this year if the PDS8 don't work out i will try the PDS4 I tryed straight rate on my 00 380EXC and hated it the rear would not hook up.

Ron - Good Choice. I too went straight rate on my 380 and hated it! I have a PDS 7 on the SX, which is the stock spring. I bought the SX model for a lot of reasons, but spring rates was one of them. I think the PDS-8 will fit the bill. Good LucK!
