Photo's of KDX80's

My son bought a KDX80 and was told it was a 1987 model. I have my doubts. Does anyone have any photo's of an 87 KDX 80 for comparison purposes, or is there an easier way to tell.

Thanks for the advice, I looked for the model year on the tube but it is scratched up pretty bad, and the seat has been receintly recovered. I seen some pictures on Ebay that look similar to his bike but both of them did not know the model year.

They did make a KDX80 in '87, '89 was the last production year.

I believe you might be able to plug in the vin# at buykawasaki.com and it will tell you what year.

I did the old fashioned spy trick and took a piece of paper and a pencil and rubbed the serial number. Not perfect but it was enough to get the year.

It is a 1982 with what must be some custom modifications.

For further clues the rims & the brake lines usually have it written on them.

That sent them all scurrying off to look.

Cool eh?
