Sadly, some rotten so&so has attacked, stabbed and left for dead the owner of the Pink Store (2/19/07). Sue is a very vocal supporter of the ORV community, working to open county roads to ORVs among many things. Last I know is that she is in intensive care in a Saginaw hospital.
Her store is located on M-33 between Mio and Rose City and has direct trail access allowing ORV riders to get food and fuel without leaving the trail.
The store is indefinitely closed at this time.
Such a tragedy.

2TrakR,

Thanks for the links. My buddy has a cabin down the road that is across the street from the store. He was up over the weekend and called to tell me about it. Hopefully she will be ok. There is a special place for people that commit these crimes...

and that special place is,, with them dressed in a White Tail Deer costume and a 12 point rack bolted to their head and their front shoulder in the cross hairs on the scope of my 7mm Mag during deer season - legal accident and no cost to the tax payer to rid the plant of the worm(s)... Stickin low lifes...
Prayers and condolances for Sue and tp her family Jeremy.. Here is thought, how about passing the hat around somehow - maybe a small article in the CCC Trailrider with invites to donate to help her along during this time?? I know I am a small business person too and THAT would really speak volumes to my heart to know that others really care if I had been stabbed - THATS TERRIBLE.... Just a thought....

Man, what a shame. We will surely say an extra prayer for her and her family.

I will also pray that should she ever find herself in that situation again, she will have positioned a firmly held and expertly aimed M1911 between her and the attacker!

That's terrible, I don't know exact which lady was Sue but both of the ladies I met were very nice to us dual sporters. I hope she gets better.

I remember going in there many times. She never minded me hanging out for a while to get warmed up.

Man I hope she pulls through. Sounds touchy though.

Word is that they caught the guy in Kentucky---and he confessed.

Also Sue is leaving the ICU today.

Two items of good news!
