I have a few questions regarding Wiseco and Vertex pistons for an 03 CR250. I have the "B" cylinder. Couldn't find exactly what I wanted with a search.
1. Will the Wiseco piston have tight enough tolerances for the "B" cylinder. I want the piston to cylinder clearance tight?
2. Does either piston manufacturer offer benfits over the other (i.e. performance or longevity)?
3. Vertex offers 4 different piston sizes (66.34-66.37) for my bike, would I go with the largest size piston for my "B" cylinder? Thanks for you help.

I too would like to know. I am looking at doing a top end and never used the Vertex piston before and wonder if it is as good as well as the tolerances. Anyone??

You need to measure the piston and the bore really to get the exact size right, on wisecos i generally put them in a run them-with no problems-dont go for the biggest vertex-it maybe too big.Vertex make good pistons that last well-neither has any big advantages over the other.
