I melted the top of my piston and the exhaust side. I am gettin a new piston but was woundering if i can just hone the cylinder (there is a lil metal on the exhaust bridge from melted piston) or do i have to get it replated. This is the third time i have seized by 2 small of a jet but this time the piston melted on top and the front of the piston melted over the ring. Thanks pat

colder weather will make the bike run lean, so you run bigger jets in the winter and smaller jets in the summer.

as for the cylinder, it might be piston debris on the bridge, or it might be the plating worn off- dont try and hone it too much. if its the worst case senario, you can get it replated or bored out and replated.

its sounds like its been getting really hot, make sure you check the cooling system and the ignition adjustment.
