I am ready to make the move and build a Pit Bike for my daughter. We have a 02 XR70 would consider using this to start if I could find a long travel suspension to use. I guess my question would be am I better off getting rid of the XR70 and getting a KLX 110? With the KLX I have heard the KX 60 or KX 65 forks are a direct bolt on is this true? Any advice on where to begin would be helpful.

What are you tring to accomplish with the build? The KLX is a great starting point but you can also do similar mods to a CRF70, it really depends if you are looking for a full on race pit bike or just a putt around for fun bike. You can also pickup a ready made bike in any number of levels of tune.
