Hello everyone! I'm not sure if you guys have seen anything about "Wonder Worthog Racing" on/in Racer X, Transworld MX, Cycle News, Motonews, or at a Supercross....
but it's basically a program that just got started by a few guys to help the SX/MX privateers. This SX season, any privateer that runs a WWR sticker on their fender and makes the SX night program gets all of their entry fees paid back to them (there are qualifiers during the day). I have a few buddies who race SX and the program is awesome to them as racing the SX series on your own is very costly. A few days after the event, they get a check and everyone who gets paid if published on Racer X and other spots. WWR even chooses a "privateer of the week" and they get a profile on Racer X and are a guest on a internet moto talk show. So far the program has paid out around $27,000 to the privateers! But they are just getting started and trying to fund the effort by things such as getting industry sponsors (like I think Engine Ice kicked in $5k or so, for example), auctioning rider gear (a current auction is up with a RC and Bubba jersey), and selling WWR gear (hats & beanies now available). RC and Bubba are also real involved with the program as they recognize the importance to the privateers.
