Just got back from a 3 day ride.
Bike is a Husky 96 WR360
Carb: Keihin 38mm PWK AirStriker.
Plu: NGK B8EGV and B8EG
Premix: 40:1 Motul 800
Air temp: lucky to get 12C in the afternoon
Altitude: 250mt - 550mts
I just replaced the Dellorto with a keihin carb off a 00 Ktm300, the bike felt crisper than the dellorto ever was. But the problems occurred only when l was in 4th to 5th on open tracks, mid to wide open...up hills and tight stuff where l was in 1st to 3rd, hard of the throttle or coasting down a steep hill, no hint of fouling plug, yet on open tracks where l could hit the top gears, hestiation, cough, stop?
This only happened with the B8EGV and replaced it with the B8EG, which the latter felt like fouling at 5th gear wide open but l managed to noticed it before l fouled it completely.
Would this be the main jet and the taper of the needle plus clip height?
