poor stupid sister of mine

Ok get thiss. My sister who has no job and blose all her mony the day she gets it want a car for when she turns 16. well she wants a newer car in the $6000 price. well she cant afford that. so she's like "dad how come Trevor gets a new dirt bike (wel soon anyways) but you wont buy me a car!!" so my dad goes out and looks for her. he finds a nice car. a '93 escort wagon, 123k miles a bit high and $650 quite cheep. she said she dosent want it, all because its not 2 door or a car!! and to make it wourse she said she wouldent be cought dead in a wagon or van.my dad said fine you can buy your own car then. now after her boyfriend talked to her she wants the wagon. my dad said its to late ( hes guna buy it any way for a 16th b-day present). now shes freekin out and how she wants it. if it wasent for dirtbikes i wouldent be going through this!! evry time my dad says no she bring up the fact that there buying me a dirtbike for my b-day!!! geez i wish i could just slap her!!!:debil: :mad:

Tell your sister, to consider herself lucky, I never got anything for free. Had to pay for my car, my dirtbike and everything along to go with it. It irks me the wrong way when someone gets something for free then complains about it.

You appreciate things alot more when you pay for them yourself...

If I were you I wouldnt worry about my sister as long as I still get a brand new dirtbike. My parents wouldnt even give me like $400 on my bday to help me pay for a used dirtbike.

Hell you all are lucky. I have to buy all my stuff too and then my dad does not even want to take me riding or even get parts. So I allways have to bum a ride with a friend or just sit there looking at my bike. I finnaly got a trailer to take my bike around and it took three years to get him to get one but now that i have one he will probly still not take me out but only once a year.

OK wiener's! I'm a dad!

The best way to get pop to open his wallet, is to be a good kid! help around the house A LOT! and get good grades, you might want to even study in front of him. and most of all get him involed with bikes then talk bikes with him. :think

Kids need to earn what they get and not think it is due them. What's going to happen when they get out in the real world and find that nothing is for free? Welfare is already overloaded. Too many parents wuss out and cave into their kids so they either don't have to hear them whine or to always be the "good guy". It only hurts the kids in the long run.

But my dad won't buy me gas for a car, I would be extremely grateful if my parents bought me a minivan with wood paneling on it:ugg:
But that won't even happen, needless to say after 2 years of wishing, hoping and working I should be purchasing my truck within a few months, and it feels better than anything someone can give me.

I'm 15, and fixing an old car. When it comes time for me to buy parts for it, none of my parents will help me with the money. And I like it that way, I like to earn my money, the reward is always better then. I know my car isn't going to be done when I get my lisence (yes it's that bad), so I'd be glad if someone gave me a free car, no matter what it was...even an import.

You'll never regret getting it done on your own. There is a special satisfaction with not having to depend on anyone, or owing them. There nothing wrong with someone helping out or accepting help but no one should ever expect it.

Two of the things I have learned about taking buisness in school is, most importantly Rule number 1. it's all about who you know and ,number 2. It's all about how you make yourself known.

Sadly to say in the buisness world it's typically number 1, a brother in law will usally get the job first. Or you can take the hard route and make your name known(*what you are doing) by the way nice work :D

Yes she is spoiled, she wines till she gets her way, then she does and dosent like it. Its not like im geting the dirtbike for free i have to help pay for it have to fix it if it brakes and all the other stuff. also the bike i have no i bought and fixed my self. but gets my mad is my dad will never give ME money buy if she need $10 to go out she gets it! she get like $100 a mounth from him!!! I dont hate her she just has no commen sense!!:debil:

You should consider yourself lucky MONKEYMOUSE I am 15 and had to work ALL last summer just to get enough money to buy my '92 CR125 ($1,450). I barely made enough plus I still had to make a few hundred more just on maintanance stuff. I can atleast feel the pride in knowing I paid for my bike not mommy or daddy but they both helped with buy stuff here and there. BTW MONKEYMOUSE your sig. line is longer then most of your posts. :moon:

i realize

my parents bought me things, and i love them for it...but i loved them before that too!! and let me tell you, before buying me a thing, I was scooping some major $h!t from the barn and planting for hours on end, but it makes it all worth while, work hard and play hard.....a great combo if you ask me...

Yea normaly have to buy evrything my self. but my mom said if i get on the honer roll shell buy me the bike. I would get a job and buy it my self but im onley 13. there for i cant:( .

DC a cuple people have told my my tag is to long so im gona take care of that now kk :confused:

I can relate to a lot of the replies, I too had to work my tail off to get my toys but that was a generation ago. In this day and age I will not let my kid do the things I used to do and have the freedom which I did, there are too many whackos out there. He is limited to helping around the house, treating people with respect and getting good grades. If he produces , I maintain his bike and pay for his racing. (He has sat out a few races and a few family trail rides with friends and it kills me to see him sitting on the side line watching his friends have fun while his bike sits in the trailer but a man's got to do ......Amazing how ones attitude changes after one of these sideline sessions.;)

And my mom is counting on that fact that I know I wont get on the honer roll. hopefullee they will at lest help pay for a newer bike, like a '95 YZ:cool:. I realy want a new(er) KDX200 thoe!!!!

You all had it lucky. I had to walk to school in a foot of snow with cardboard straped to my feet because we did not have fancy Nike shoes. It was up hill both ways too. ;)

I had to work for all of what I had there was not a lot of hand outs, but I took them when they were available. I bought my first bike and car. There is a satifaction in that.

I think that you should be nice to your sister so that you can play that card on her later :debil: Seriously, I realy think that you should do like the others said and let you parents deal with your sister. Your relationship is important and you will be stronger if you just keep quite about her whining. Just keep your head down and work hard to get good grades so you can get that new bike.

Do yard work for neighbors. My son started when he was 12 doig odd jobs for neighbors and had enough money saved to buy his first car for $6500 when he turned 16.

And I'm not complaing at all. I dont care that shes geting the car but how she allways bring up the dirtbike and othere LITTLE things that theve bought me.:confused: Also I did buy my first bike , and plane on buying my first car. I would work for my nabors, but they all have kids that do it for them.:( I think I will buy about $100 in some stock. maby i can dubble or tripple my money!!??:cool:

My dad gave me my first car but it was one he had owned since 1973 (I got it in 1987).Thing was I had to get the thing running first then get insurance on it before I could even drive it . It had to be the ugliest car in the neighborhood and I was glad to have it but all the gas repairs and insurance all came out of my pockets. If my dad didn`t have that car sitting in the carport collecting rust for the better part of it`s life I would`ve had to buy my own.As far as dirt bikes were concerned I wasn`t even allowed to even ride one much less have one even if I bought it myself . So consider yourself lucky to have parents that will let you have a dirt bike and don`t worry about your sister she`ll find out the real world isn`t that easy.
