Power with FRP mods and FMF rev pipe?

I have a '00 KDX220. I've put on the FMF k-30 pipe and removed the airbox lid so far. I'm thinking about having FRP port the cylinder, modify the head, and bore the carb this winter. Does anyone out there have dyno results with these modifications? Wondering what to expect for peak power and at what engine speed.

I have the same question, everybody claims huge gains in power like pulling wheellies in 4th gear and weird stuff like that, but haven't actually read anything convincing. Although the tech tips on just kdx are pretty easy to follow you really don't know if you gain 1/2 hp or 10. So any reply with real data will be gladly accepted.

I don't have any dyno charts, but I do know there are performance gains with the FRP mods. I owned a '96 KDX200 with all the Fredette mods (set up just like his bike). My friend owned a '97 KDX200 with the FMF K-30 Rev pipe and Turbine Core S/A silencer. In wide open sections my friend could no keep up with me and I outweighed him by 25 lbs.

If you go to the JustKDX page, there is a dyno test section, and I believe these were done on acutemp's KDX. I think it was ported, but not by FRP.

Either way, gives you a frame of reference for the potential. I think he also tested (and graphed) a KTM 200. Power & torque were similar or better for the ported KDX, if I recall correctly.

No, in fact my bike had better response off-idle.

woods rider, what did you all do to your bike ?
I have a 97 200 that I want to do mods to. Right now I have a rev pipe with a power core silencer.
Did you do a carb mod?
Thanks for the info.

Jeff set it up just like his '96 race bike(s). No carb mods were required other than leaning out the jetting.
