I'm digging into my gearbox now but don't know if the removal of the primary drive gear nut (the one on the right side of the crankshaft) is clockwise or counter-clockwise. please let me know. thanks
i just pulled out the manual for a H1, H2, H3, and they all say nothing about a left handed thread nut. just hold the flywheel and spin it off. :thumb:
thanks guys
I figured it out by trial and error.
Now I've got the cases split and wish I had bought a bearing puller because the manual says that if the crank bearings stay on the crank then they need to be removed and installed in the case halves before reassembly.
So I'll have to take it to a mechanic after all.
Man, the needle bearing that the clutch shaft runs on was super trashed. I also have no idea how to get it out since its recessed into the case and theres no access to it from two sides. Another reason to go to the mechanic.
