Hey I ride a 2005 yz125 and I was looking into getting a Pro Circuit Engine mod for my ride. Any body have engine work done by Pro Circuit and if so do you think it was worth the money?
I had them do some work on th elast YZ 250 I owned.
The engine was decent after I was done with it. I would not let Pro Circuit do the work again. I would send it to Dric Gorr. If you have something against him, I woudl use one of the smaller one man operations.
The reason is this. I sent my cylinder and head in to Pro Circuit. I got back the same porting anyone else would get. That means a local pro or a trailrider. Obviously, we all need different power characteristics. Eric will ask you WHAT kind of power you want and need. Pro Circuit will give you the same porting as everyone else gets.
Eric's prices are also 1/2 of what PC is going to charge you. Unless you enjoy helping pay for Tedesco's KXF engines and the bribes to Dirt Bike magazine, Eric is the logical choice.
I agree with Rcannon, i have a brand new pro circuit KX125 cylinder setting on my shelf, not to impressed with the work, especially for the cost, im going to put the cylinder on my sons bike and send the stock cylinder to Eric, might even do a big bore :yeehaw:
