I had a bolt fall out of my clutch braquet and didn't notice it until i was out riding and the clamp was sliding all over the place.

Well now there is all this wear where the clamp was fastened down and I am worried that when i get my new bolts/clamp that it's going to just grind down again and cause clamp sliding again.

So i am trying to find out what would be the best handlebar paint to use on that section so it will have that nice but subtle texture that it had brand new, I'm sure that will help the new clamp stay in place.

Put a small piece of bicycle innertube between the bars and clamp and leave it loose enough so it can move on impact.

Teflon tape will also work but, if the bar actually has a groove worn in it, I would replace the bars. The groove will be a weak point and could cause the bars to break.

Just my $ .02
