probabaly a stupid question

I was wondering if in mx the 450's and the 250's race in the same class. i am not really into mx but when i saw the movie supercross i got confused whether they were in the same class or not. please someone help me before i get even stupider.

250 2-strokes race in the same class as the 450 4-strokes (The MX Class).

125 2-strokes race in the same class as the 250 4-strokes (The MX-Lites Class).

Very few people ride a 2-stroke at the National Pro Level. There is a 125 schoolboy at the amateur level for LL's that is only for 2-strokes.

It does get confusing, especially if you are not familiar with the history.
